In 2007 I was one of the mentors in a joint program with Stonnington Council and 
The May Gibbs Children’s Literature Trust to encourage emerging writers and illustrators. I also assisted this program in 2008. Since 2010 I have been an executive member of CLAN Children’s Literature Australia Network, helping create programs to connect children with contemporary authors and illustrators. 

I have conducted workshops in over 500 primary, secondary and tertiary schools throughout Victoria, New South Wales, Australian Capital Territory and Western Australia. 

Since 1986 I have conducted professional development sessions and workshops with Victorian libraries. I present information in a humorous and informal manner, and when I presented his Visual Literacy session to the Catholic Education Offices, it was attended by over 500 people.
